    El propósito de la investigación fue actualizar el manual de funciones del Hotel Luxor para implementar la norma ISO 50001:2018. Se selecciono una muestra censal de toda la organización. Se aplicó el instrumento de información cuestionario de descripción de puestos de los autores Werther y Davis (2018), se recolecto información mediante observación directa y entrevista a líderes y colaboradores de la organización. Al diagnosticar la cultura de los trabajadores en cuanto a las prácticas de eficiencia energética, se detectó el desconocimiento de las mismas, al igual que las responsabilidades, tareas y deficiente relación con las demás áreas del hotel, al realizar la descripción especifica de los cargos se determinó que responsabilidades y cuál es la relación que debe tener cada colaborador referente a la eficiencia energética, al establecer cada rol, competencia y formación que debe tener cada colaborador se asegura la prácticade la Norma NTC-ISO 50001:2018 y la eficiencia energética el hotel Luxor. Con la construcción del manual de funciones se puedo establecer de forma organizada y sistemática las funciones de cada cargo de la organización, el cual es una herramienta estratégica que definela ruta hacia la eficiencia energética del Hotel Luxor.

    The purpose of the research was to update the functions manual of Luxor Hotel to implement the ISO 50001:2018 standard. A census sample of the entire organization was selected. The information instrument job description questionnaire of the authors Werther and Davis (2018) was applied, information was collected through direct observation and interviews with leaders and collaborators of the organization. By diagnosing the culture of workers in terms of energy efficiency practices, it was detected the lack of knowledge of them, as well as the responsibilities, tasks and poor relationship with other areas of the hotel, by making the specific description of the positions it was determined which responsibilities and what is the relationship that each collaborator should have regarding energy efficiency, by establishing each role, competence and training that each collaborator should have ensures the practice of the NTC-ISO 50001:2018 Standard and energy efficiency the Luxor hotel. With the construction of the manual of functions can be established in an organized and systematic way the functions of each position of the organization, which is a strategic tool that defines the route to energy efficiency Luxor Hotel.
