Tópicos de investigación de internet de las cosas en la cadena de suministro

    En el contexto de la Industria 4.0, se presenta una adaptación paulatina de tecnologías emergentes a procesos empresariales. Dentro de este contexto el objetivo es identificar y analizar los tópicos de investigación de las publicaciones que abordan el internet de las cosas (IoT, siglas en inglés) en la logística y la cadena de suministro; para lo cual se consultó la base de datos Scopus entre el 2009 al 2021, seleccionando los 50 documentos con mayor cantidad de citaciones, para luego categorizarlos y analizarlos en tres tópicos temáticos comunes, identificados según su objeto de estudio: implementación del IoT en la cadena de suministro y la logística; utilidad del IoT y otras tecnologías emergentes; e IoT en la cadena de suministro agrícola y de alimentos. Se concluye el interés por investigar los beneficios y desafíos del IoT, y sus aplicaciones en el sector industrial, automotriz, comercio minorista, farmacéutico, transporte, energético, atención médica, marketing, logística inversa, alimentos, agrícola, calzado, textil y postal. Articulado a tecnologías como RFID, computación en la nube, geoposicionamiento, sensores, sistemas ciberfísicos, telemática y dispositivos móviles; para procesos de identificación, comunicación y seguimiento que mejoren la trazabilidad en tiempo real entre los actores y objetos de la cadena, para tener información precisa, reducir costos y ser más eficientes.

    In the context of Industry 4.0, there is a gradual adaptation of emerging technologies to business processes. Within this context, the objective is to identify and analyze the research topics of the publications that address the Internet of Things (IoT) in logistics and the supply chain; for which the Scopus database was consulted between 2009 and 2021, selecting the 50 documents with the highest number of citations, and then categorizing and analyzing them into three common thematic topics, identified according to their object of study: implementation of IoT in the chain supply and logistics; usefulness of the IoT and other emerging technologies; and IoT in the agricultural and food supply chain. The interest in investigating the benefits and challenges of IoT, and its applications in the industrial, automotive, retail, pharmaceutical, transportation, energy, medical care, marketing, reverse logistics, food, agricultural, footwear, textile and postal sectors is concluded. Articulated to technologies such as RFID, cloud computing, geopositioning, sensors, cyber-physical systems, telematics and mobile devices; for identification, communication and monitoring processes that improve real-time traceability between actors and objects in the chain, to have accurate information, reduce costs and be more efficient.
