    Se aborda en este trabajo un análisis de la evidencia literaria y arqueológica sobre la villa de Plinio el Joven en Tiferno Tiberino. El objetivo es trazar las principales características de la organización económica de esta finca, tanto en lo que hace a las formas de producción como así también al tipo de mano de obra utilizada. Se hará un especial hincapié en estudiar la función de los colonos arrendatarios, dilucidar la efectiva presencia de esclavos en la hacienda y apreciar el grado de sofisticación económica de Plinio como propietario.

    An analysis of the literary and archaeological evidence on the estate of Pliny the Younger in Tifernum Tiberinum is approached in this work. The objective is to trace the main characteristics of the economic organization of this farm, both in terms of the forms of production as well as the type of labor used. Special emphasis will be placed on studying the role of the tenants, elucidating the actual presence of slaves on the hacienda, and appreciating the degree of economic sophistication of Plinio as owner.
