Resumen de Normalización de coeficientes de consanguinidad basados en regiones de homocigosidad

A new method for the estimation of normalized inbreeding coefficients based on the distribution of the length of Regions of Homozigosity (ROH) is proposed. The method is based on fitting an exponential distribution to the distribution of the length of ROHin order to estimate the probability that an ROH drawn at random from the distribution of that individual is greater or equal to a threshold (1Mb). The correlation between the normalized inbreeding coefficient and the pedigree inbreeding coefficient was 0.691 (0.0493). The novel normalized inbreeding coefficient could be superior to inbreeding coefficients based on pedigree information due to the use of all information from the distribution of ROH.
