Resumen de Comparación de grados de madurez en líneas comerciales seleccionadas por diferentes caracteres en conejos

• The aim of this study was to analyze whether some commercial rabbit lines selected for different traits stay at the same stage of maturity when compared at the same age. The paternal line R, selected for growth rate, showed the higher weight at weaning (28 days of age), selection (63 days of age) and adult stage and higher growth rate respect to the maternal lines A and V, selected for litter size. Differences in degree of maturity at selection and time to arrive to 40% of degree of maturity were not considered relevant. Line R showed lower degree of maturity and lower time to arrive to a commercial weight of 2000g than lines A and V.
