This paper presents the results of a set of estudies performed in order to explane the relationships between leadership style and group productivity. For the purpose, four leadreship style dimensions were identified and measured: 1, Authoritarianism-Democratism: II, Task Centered; III, Relations Centered; IV, Tolerance Level. Group productivity was the dependent variable and also were controled as intevenient variables: technical qualification, work experience, management experience, educational level, group seniority, job and reward satisfaction and ausentism. The results obtained support the central idea of a leadership or managerial style being effective for group productivity, according to a set of circumstances that this research identified and assessed.
