Resumen de Desvelando o campo da arquitetura: discriminação de gênero no Espírito Santo

The objective of this paper is to present an analysis on gender discrimination faced by female architects in their professional practice in the state of Espírito Santo (ES) and to identify the types of discrimination present in our reality. First, a brief summary of feminist research in Architecture vis a vis feminist research and of the professional field in the Social Sciences is presented. Next, it is described a qualitative-quantitative analysis of 50 online questionnaires conducted with the Conselho de Arquitetura e Urbanismo - CAU/ES architects. First, an analysis of the general questions on discrimination is presented. Next, for the sake of clarity and organization of the article, the details of the different situations of discrimination are dealt with in separate sections: Fees; Invisibility; Sexist culture; and Stereotypes / marginalization. The results indicate points where there is still a need to advance - invisibility, stereotypes and macho culture - so that the professional field of Architecture becomes more equitable.

O objetivo deste artigo é problematizar as discriminações de gênero enfrentadas pelas mulheres arquitetas em sua prática profissional no estado de Espírito Santo e identificar quais os tipos de discriminação presentes na nossa realidade. Com essa finalidade apresentamos o contexto das pesquisas feministas em Arquitetura vis a vis pesquisas feministas e do campo profissional nas Ciências Sociais. Foram realizados 50 questionários online conduzidos junto a arquitet@s do CAU/ES. Em seguida é apresentada análise quali-quantitativa. Identificamos que antigos impasses ainda estão presentes como a discriminação separadas nas seguintes categorias: Invisibilidade; Cultura machista da profissão; e Estereótipos/marginalização. Os resultados indicam pontos onde ainda se precisa avançar – invisibilidade, estereótipos e cultura machista - para que o campo profissional da Arquitetura se torne mais equânime.
