    El microrrelato es una modalidad literaria en auge en el siglo xxi, que goza de una amplia difusión a través de internet donde han proliferado las creaciones hipermedia. Manu Espada ha desempeñado un papel fundamental en la creación y divulgación de micros a través de la red gracias a su blog "La espada oxidada" y se está consolidando como escritor con el paso del espacio virtual al libro impreso. Entre sus títulos sobresale "Personajes secundarios", un conjunto de microrrelatos estructurados con diferentes procedimientos. Una primera serie tiene como nexo el contenido temático referencial, mayoritariamente culturalista, que el autor especifica en el título. Entre los textos que comparten esta estrategia de articulación, encontramos un miniserie enlazada por la autoficción y la reiteración simbólica de la imagen del agua que se convierte en polisémica. Además, otro grupo está integrado por microrrelatos visuales: están enlazados porque en todos ellos se combina el código lingüístico y el plástico, poniéndose el juego gráfico al servicio de la narración. Cada microrrelato mantiene su autonomía semántica pero al mismo tiempo el sentido global del libro se suma al individual de cada texto y es en la conciliación entre autonomía e integración en esta estructura diseñada por el autor donde cada micronarración adquiere su significado pleno.

    The micro-story is a literary modality on the rise in the 21st century, which is widely disseminated through the internet where hypermedia creations have proliferated. Manu Espada has played a fundamental role in the creation and dissemination of micros through the web thanks to his blog The Rusty Sword and is consolidating himself as a writer with the passage from virtual space to printed books. "Secondary characters" stands out among his titles, a set of micro-stories structured with different procedures. A first series is linked to the referential thematic content, mostly culturalist, that the author specifies in the title. We find a miniseries linked by self-fiction and the symbolic reiteration of the image of water, that becomes polysemic, among the texts that share this strategy of articulation. In addition, another group is made up of visual micro-stories: they are connected because in all of them the linguistic and plastic codes are combined, putting the graphic game at the service of the narrative. Each micro-story maintains its semantic autonomy but at the same time the overall meaning of the book is added to the particular one of each text. And it is in the conciliation between autonomy and integration in this structure designed by the author where each micronarration acquires its full meaning.
