Resumen de Turismo: el discurso (re)producido por un periódico en Puerto Vallarta y Bahía de Banderas

El objetivo del artículo fue analizar el discurso sobre el turismo enunciado por un periódico online en el periodo de 2013 al 2018 en la región de Puerto Vallarta (Jalisco) y Bahía de Banderas (Nayarit), México. El análisis del discurso de vertiente francesa es utilizado como marco conceptual y técnica de análisis. Específicamente, se identificaron las formaciones discursivas e ideológicas a partir de las categorías selección lexical, temas, figuras, relación espacio ‑tiempo, inter discursos y silencios. Metodológicamente, se analizaron 722 noticias. Los resultados subrayan la reproducción de trayectorias temáticas y figurativas vinculadas al inter discurso neoliberal, que (re)afirman estrategias políticas de gobierno en nivel nacional. No hay emergencia de conflicto entre los enunciadores del discurso institucional, sin embargo, es casi ausente el discurso reflexivo sobre los impactos del turismo en la región de estudio, silenciando los problemas de la actividad en la realidad social.

The aim of the article was to analyse the discourse with respect to tourism as enunciated by an online newspaper over the period from 2013 to 2018 for the region of Puerto Vallarta (Jalisco) and Bahía de Banderas (Nayarit) ‑ México. The French approach to discourse analysis was used as a conceptual framework and technique. Specifically, the discursive and ideological formations were identified from the categories: lexical selection, themes, figures, space ‑time relationship, inter ‑discourses and silences. Methodologically, 722 news articles were analysed. The results underline the reproduction of themes and figures of neoliberal inter ‑discourse, (re)affirming the political strategies of the national government. There is no conflict with the institutional discourse with an almost total absence of analysis of the impacts of tourism on the social reality of this area.
