    El edi!cio objeto de estudio se conoce con el nombre de “las Escuelas Graduadas de Cartagena” y su importancia es tanto cultural como simbólica, siendo la primera escuela pública no solo de Cartagena sino de toda España. El edi!cio, diseñado en 1900 por el arquitecto municipal T. R. Valarino, se completó en 1903. Durante años su uso ha sido escolar, para luego variar con el tiempo convirtiéndose en refugio durante la guerra civil. Hoy es un centro social, protegido como BIC[1].El objetivo de este Trabajo Fin de Máster de la ETS de Arquitectura y Edi!cación de la Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT), es la modelización e informatización BIM de este edi!cio, o sea un HBIM – Heritage o Historical Building Information Modeling – en el que el modelo no solo es una representación 3D, sino que contiene en su interior toda la información del edi!cio – arquitectónica, constructiva e histórica – que puede ser analizada y consultada durante todo el ciclo de vida del inmueble.

    The building object of study is known with the name of “the Graduate Schools of Cartagena” and its importance is both cultural and symbolic, being the !rst public school not only of Cartagena but of all Spain.#e building, designed in 1900 by the municipal architect T. R. Valarino, was completed in 1903. For years its use has been precisely that of school, and then changed over time becoming a refuge during the civil war. Today it is a public building, a social center, protected as BIC[1]. #e objective of this Master’s Degree Final Project of the ETS of Architecture and Building of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) ,is the modeling and computerization BIM of this building, that is an HBIM – Heritage or Historical Building Information Modeling – in which the model is not only a 3D representation, but contains inside all the information of the building – architectural, constructive and historical – that can be analyzed, veri!ed and consulted throughout the life cycle of the building
