    La intervención en una vivienda de 100 años en el barrio de Santa Lucía (Cartagena), surge como una oportunidad de unir dos convicciones personales, de un lado, la necesidad de rehabilitar y reaprovechar las estructuras ya existentes y de otro, poner en valor el patrimonio más humilde de la región, la vivienda común, adaptándolo a las necesidades actuales y mejorando la entrada de luz y la ventilación. Este proyecto ha supuesto también una investigación de carácter relacional con la arquitectura vernácula del propio lugar y las normativas de la época para el fomento y construcción de “casas baratas”, realizando una breve comparativa en cuestiones de habitabilidad

    #e architectural intervention in a 100-year-old house in the neighborhood of Santa Lucía (Cartagena), arises as an opportunity to link two personal convictions, on the one hand, the need to rehabilitate and reuse existing structures and on the other, to value the humblest heritage of the region, the common house, adapting it to current needs and improving the entrance of light and ventilation. #is project has also involved an investigation of relational nature with the vernacular architecture of the place itself and the laws in force at the beginning of the 20th century for the promotion and construction of “cheap houses”, making a brief comparison on issues of habitability
