En los últimos años se ha revisado la cronología absoluta atribuida al período VIIb de Tell el-Far῾a, en Palestina, a partir del reexamen de la cerámica. Todas las propuestas, aunque con ligeras variaciones, han planteado datar este período en los inicios del siglo IX a.C. Sin embargo, las primeras dataciones de radiocarbono realizadas por elnuevo proyecto internacional, que desde 2017 excava en Tell el-Far῾a, indican una datación más antigua

In recent years, the absolute chronology attributed to the period VIIb of Tell el-Far῾a, in Palestine, has been revised based on the reexamination of the ceramics. All the proposals, although with slight variations, have suggested dating this period to the beginning of the9th century B.C. However, the first radiocarbon dates made by the new international project, which has been excavating at Tell el-Far῾a since 2017, indicate an older dating.
