El objetivo de este estudio fue traducir al español y examinar las propiedades psicométricas de la Escala de Disposición al Cambio de Holt et al. (2007). La muestra estuvo compuesta por 254 personas de diferentes sectores laborales trabajando en Puerto Rico. Nuestros resultados proveyeron una escala traducida por expertos y evaluada por jueces profesionales con conocimiento y experiencia en el tema. Los análisis estadísticos confirman la estructura de cuatro factores de la escala (adecuación del cambio, apoyo gerencial, eficacia para el cambio y valencia personal) con nivéleles de confiabilidad aceptables. Concluimos que la escala es un instrumento adecuado para medir la disposición al cambio en un contexto laboral puertorriqueño y que se puede convertir en una herramienta práctica de uso en las organizaciones. Este estudio realiza una aportación significativa a la literatura científica y a las herramientas prácticas para trabajar los cambios en las organizaciones.Resumen alternativo:This study makes significant contributions to the scientific literature and the practical tools that organizations have to manage organizational changes. The purpose of this study was to translate to Spanish and determine de psychometric properties of the Readiness for Organizational Change scale of Holt et al. (2007). The sample consisted of 254 participants from various sectors or industries working in Puerto Rico. Our results provided a Spanish scale translated by experts and assessed by judges who have professional knowledge and experience in the area. The statistical analysis confirmed the scale's structure of four factors (appropriateness, management support, change efficacy and personal valence) is the most appropriate and has adequate reliability measures. We conclude that the scale is an adequate instrument to measure readiness for change in the workforce of Puerto Rico and that it can be used in practice by organizations.
