    En este artículo estudiamos la selección de pinturas que fonnaron parte de la decoración del Palacio Episcopal de Tenerife con motivo de la visita del rey Alfonso XIII a las islas en 1906. A través de la serie de fotografías históricas que conserva la RSEAPT, identificamos aquellas obras recogidas en las imágenes, especialmente los óleos realizados por el pintor canario Valentín Sanz ( 1849-1898), de los que aportamos nuevos datos sobre su procedencia.

    In this article we study the selec tion of paintings that were part of the decoration of the Episcopal Palace of Tenerife during the visit of King Alfonso Xlll in 1906. Through the series of historical photographs kept by the RSEAPT, we identify those works collected in the images, specially the paintings made by the canarian painter Valentín Sanz ( 1849-1898 ), of which we provide new information that places them in the 1880 Santa Cruz de Tenerife Fine Arts Exhibition.
