    This research seeks to understand the trajectory of the Institute Professional Coelho Campos, in the periodof 1922 to 1930, from the assumptions of Cultural History, in order to understand their contribution to theconsolidation of teaching professional in Sergipe. The relevance of the study is that it brings in contributionsfor the History of Education, to suggest new topics for investigation, sources for the completion of studies,suggestions for literature, considerations about the teaching professional and technical female and male, inthat period, the technology employed for the learning of letters, among other things, to enable the understandingof an important season for the historiography educational sergipana.

    Este artigo busca entender a trajetória do Instituto Profissional Coelho e Campos, no período de 1922 a 1930, a partir dos pressupostos da História Cultural, com o objetivo de compreender sua contribuição para a consolidação do ensino profissionalizante em Sergipe. A relevância do estudo está nas contribuições que ele trouxe para a História da Educação, ao sugerir novos temas de investigação; fontes para a realização de estudos; sugestões de literatura; considerações sobre o ensino profissionalizante e técnico feminino e masculino, nesse período; as tecnologias empregadas para a aprendizagem dos ofícios; dentre outros aspectos que possibilitaram a compreensão de uma época importante para a historiografia educacional sergipana.
