    El objetivo de este artículo es presentar el desarrollo del Trabajo Final del Máster en Mecánica de Suelos e Ingeniería Geotécnica del CEDEX, cuyo tema ha sido el análisis del comportamiento de pilotes frente a acciones horizontales. En este trabajo se buscó desarrollar, inicialmente, un completo estado del arte para que el lector pueda conocer el tema en su globalidad. Posteriormente, se procedió a un análisis de las normativas para conocer las diferentes metodologías existentes para el estudio de pilotes frente a cargas horizontales. Final-mente, se procedió a resolver un caso práctico real, aplicando los métodos de cálculo más destacados en la bibliografía y en las normativas al objeto de conocer aquellos métodos con los cuales se obtienen resultados más representativos de la realidad.

    The objetive of this article is to present the development of the Final Work of the Master in Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering of CEDEX, which has focused on the analysis of the behaviour of piles against horizontal actions. Initially, the aim of this work was to lay out a complete state of the art so that the reader could get to know the subject completely. Subsequently, an analysis of the regulations was carried out in order to learn about the different existing methodologies for the study of piles under horizontal loads. Finally, we proceeded to solve a real practical case, applying the most important calculation methods in the bibliography and standards, and taking the aim of finding out which methods would enable us to obtain results that are most representative of reality.
