    La presente investigación partió de tres premisas: primero, qué Bolivia es un país con escaza producción científica, segundo, la baja cultura investigativa en las universidades, y tercero la extensa variedad de enfoques sobre las competencias investigativas; sabiendo que la sociedad actual precisa con urgencia docentes, con conocimientos sólidos en investigación, se vio la necesidad de realizar un análisis sobre las posibles condiciones requeridas por el docente en Educación Superior, para fortalecer las competencias investigativas. Se trabajó bajo el enfoque de investigación cualitativa, técnica revisión documental, herramientas utilizadas fichas, análisis de información mediante el método comparativo, considerando similitudes sobre las condiciones y competencias requeridas; obteniéndose como resultado qué, el fortalecimiento debe realizarse tomando en cuenta tres condiciones; afines con la formación del docente (Cognitivos – Saber conocer), condiciones relacionadas con los docentes mismos (Valores y actitudes, habilidades – Saber ser – Saber hacer), condiciones relacionadas con la universidad (motivacionales y de colaboración – Saber estar – Saber convivir); promoviendo el uso de las herramientas tecnológicas en el momento de adquirir las competencias investigativas relacionadas con investigar, escribir, publicar e incluso difundir una investigación.

    This research was based on three premises: first that Bolivia is a country with little scientific production, second, the low research culture in universities, and third, the wide variety of approaches to research skills. And, knowing that today's society urgently needs teachers with solid knowledge in research, it was necessary to carry out an analysis of the conditions required by a university teacher, to strengthen research skills. We worked under the qualitative research approach, document review technique, tools used, technical sheets, information analysis through the comparative method, considering similarities on the conditions and skills required; obtaining as a result what, the reinforcement must be carried out taking into account three conditions; related to teacher training (Cognitive – Knowing how to know), conditions related to the teachers themselves (Values and attitudes, skills – Knowing how to be – Knowing how to do), conditions related to the university (motivational and collaborative – Knowing how to be – Knowing how to live together) ; promote the use of technological tools in the acquisition of investigative skills related to researching, writing, publishing and even disseminating research.
