      La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo realizar un análisis de sostenibilidad, que permitió determinar los factores que influyen en la sostenibilidad del comercio autónomo de la calle Alajuela, del cantón Portoviejo. La investigación fue descriptiva, con un diseño de investigación no experimental – transaccional de tipo descriptivo. Los métodos que se utilizaron fueron de tipo inductivo, deductivo y estadístico lo cual permitió realizar un análisis de la situación en la que se encuentra. Las técnicas e instrumentos de recolección de información se realizaron mediante la encuesta y la técnica de análisis de información estadística, identificando las problemáticas que tiene como la inseguridad, ubicación, falta de ayuda financiera, competencia alta, espacios reducidos, también se identificaron las variables de aceptación que mantienen la fidelidad de los clientes, y de qué manera las variables de aceptación ayudan al desarrollo sostenible del comercio autónomo de la calle Alajuela en la ciudad de Portoviejo.

    The objective of this research was to carry out a sustainability analysis, which allowed to determine the factors that influence the sustainability of the autonomous commerce of Alajuela Street, in the Portoviejo canton. The research was descriptive, with a non-experimental – transactional research design of a descriptive type. The methods used were inductive, deductive, and statistical, which allowed an analysis of the situation in which it is located. The techniques and instruments of information collection were carried out through the survey and the technique of analysis of statistical information, identifying the problems it has such as insecurity, location, lack of financial aid, high competition, small spaces, the acceptance variables that maintain the loyalty of customers were also identified, and how the acceptance variables help the sustainable development of the autonomous trade of Alajuela Street in the city of Portoviejo.
