    La presente revisión bibliografía busca dar respuesta a la siguiente interrogante: ¿Está el personal de enfermería apto para realizar acciones sin depender de las órdenes médicas? basado en la historia de la formación de la carrera, en su pensum de estudio y actualmente en las diferentes especializaciones que existen para el desarrollo de esta profesión podemos darnos cuentas que las enfermeras realizan labores únicas, independientes y específicas amparados en basamentos legales y aplicando el método científico se llega a la conclusión de la irrefutable autonomía que presenta este personal en el desarrollo de sus labores.

    The present literature review seeks to answer the following question: Is the nursing staff able to perform actions without relying on medical orders? Based on the history of the formation of the career, in its curriculum of study and currently in the different specializations that exist for the development of this profession we can realize that the nurses perform unique, independent and specific tasks protected by legal bases and applying the scientific method is reached the conclusion of the irrefutable autonomy that this staff presents in the development of their work.
