    El presente ensayo aborda la importancia del uso del material concreto. El objetivo es sensibilizar a los agentes educativos sobre el valor que tiene en la construcción de nuevos aprendizajes. Actualmente, el aprendizaje está basado en el enfoque constructivista. Este documento, incluye reflexiones sobre cómo los estudiantes construyen y generan sus aprendizajes a través de estos recursos. Las TIC forman parte de estos materiales educativos. En tal sentido, se tomarán en cuenta los aportes de Bruner, Vygotsky, Ausubel y Piaget. Todos ellos desde un enfoque constructivista que aún tiene vigencia en el ámbito educativo. Gracias al análisis de sus aportes, se pudo resaltar la importancia del material concreto en el aprendizaje.

    This essay covers the importance of the use of the concrete material. The aim is to raise awareness among educational agents about the value they have in building new learning. Nowadays, learning is based on the constructivist approach. This document includes reflections on how students build and generate their learning through these resources. ICTs are part of these educational materials. In this document, the contributions of Bruner, Vygotsky, Ausubel and Piaget will be taken into account. All of them from a constructivist approach that is still valid in the field of education. The analysis of their contributions enabled us to highlight the importance of the material in learning.
