    La tendencia a la turistificación es un fenómeno que afecta a muchas ciudades históricas españolas. Es interesante tomar a Valladolid como caso de estudio porque no son muchos los trabajos sobrecentros de ciudades menos dinámicas a nivel turístico. Es una ciudad que se está ha consolidado en los últimos años como destino turístico a través de una estrategia de desarrollo basada en la puestaen valor de su rico patrimonio. El objetivo de esta comunicación se centra en rastrear los indicios de turistificación que se observan en su casco histórico y en la nueva orientación que se quiere dar a laciudad desde las instituciones públicas donde la peatonalización tiene un papel muy relevante. Para ello se ha llevado a cabo una revisión bibliográfica en torno al tema, se ha realizado un reciente trabajo de campo en el casco y se han analizado estos instrumentos para poder extraer una breve conclusión sobre la situación actual.

    The trend towards touristification is a phenomenon that affects many historic Spanish cities. It is interesting to take Valladolid as a case study because there are not many studies on less dynamic citycenters at the tourist level. It is a city that has been consolidated in recent years as a tourist destination through a development strategy based on the enhancement of its rich heritage. The objective ofthis communication is focused on tracking the signs of tourism that are observed in its historic center and in the new orientation that the city wants to give from public institutions where pedestrianizationhas a very relevant role. For this, a bibliographic review has been carried out on the subject, a recent field work has been carried out on the helmet and these instruments have been analyzed in order todraw a brief conclusion about the current situation.
