  lt is essential to have a basic knowledge of the anatomy and tunction of the orofacial nervous structures for the diagnostic of some pathology studied in Oral Medicine. In this article we resume and synthesize the neurological exploration of the maxillofacial area and we describe the semiology of some alterations in this region.
