    La dictadura de Luis García Meza (1980 – 1981) marcó la historia de Bolivia; sin embargo, actualmente, poco se conoce acerca del tema. El objetivo de esta investigación fue estudiar la posibilidad de constituir al turismo en puente temporal, para dar a conocer los hechos suscitados durante esta dictadura; mediante un estudio de corte transversal de tipo mixto en el que se aplicaron técnicas como la revisión documental, consulta a expertos y encuesta.

    El resultado muestra que presentar este período como un recorrido turístico es pertinente y de interés para turistas nacionales. Se concluye que ésta es una alternativa viable y amigable como oferta turística en la ciudad de La Paz; deberá desarrollarse bajo un estricto sentido de respeto y resiliencia.

    Luis García Meza’s dictatorship (1980 -1981) left a deep mark on the history of Bolivia; however, little is known about the subject nowadays. The objective of this scientific article was, therefore, to study the possibility of setting a historical connection through tourism to make the events that took place during the said de facto government known. A mixed cross-sectional study, involving techniques such as documentary research, expert consultation, and survey of national tourists, has been carried out to do so.The results show that presenting this period through a tourist route is possible and draws the attention of national tourists. It may be concluded that, under a strict sense of respect, resilience and learning, this is a viable friendly tourist offer in La Paz city.
