The article compares the results of two surveys carried out by the Library of Social Sciences at the University of Florence at the end of 2020 and 2021. The aim of the study was to discover student opinion regarding the infection prevention measures adopted during the Covid pandemic and the sense of security perceived when inside the premises. The answers highlight different perceptions depending on the emergency moment experienced in the compilation phase. Heterogeneous ideas and suggestions emerged, in particular regarding the need for studying and sharing space; criticisms, especially relating to the seat booking system, was also found. The surveys identify profiles and habits of the community and, when compared, they reveal significant differences.
