Given the need to prevent work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSD) and the immutability of the work situation, there is a focuson the implementation of training programs for health professionals on patient handling techniques (Neves & Serranheira, 2014).However, in the systematic review by Clemes et al. (2010) to evaluate the evidence on the effectiveness of different approaches tomanual load-handling training, the authors identified low evidence that support the effectiveness of manual-based hand-training basedon exclusive training use. Neves & Serranheira (2014) emphasize the effectiveness of the implementation of systemic multifactorialprograms as opposed to exclusive training programs on patient handling techniques for the risk of WMSD in health professionals.Aware of this data and convinced of the need for a multifactorial intervention, we conducted this path with the purpose of promotingthe diagnosis and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders associated with work in a health institution.
