    With the reduction or total loss of vision, it leads to a motor difficulty and, consequently, to its physical activity, resulting in the onset of chronic diseases and impelling to a less healthy lifestyle. The objective of this study is to understand how the life style of Goalball athletes in the city of João Pessoa-PB, with the purpose of evaluating whether they have an active and healthy life style, combined with the practice of sport, comparing the style of life among the age groups of the practitioners, as well as to ascertain the well-being of the individuals with the practice of Goalball.

    This research is characterized by being a qualitative study with a descriptive, cross - sectional typology. Eight Goalball athletes participated in the study, all of them male. The instrument for collecting the data was a semi-structured interview script built by the researcher himself.

    Com a diminuição ou a perda total da visão acarreta em uma dificuldade motora e consequentemente na sua atividade física, ocasionando em surgimentos de doenças crônicas e impulsionando para um estilo de vida menos saudável. O objetivo desse estudo é entender como se dá o estilo de vida em atletas de Goalball da cidade de João Pessoa-PB, com o intuito de avaliar se os mesmos possuem um estilo de vida ativo e saudável aliado a prática do esporte, comparando o estilo de vida entre as faixasetárias dos praticantes, assim como averiguar o bem-estar dos indivíduos com a prática do Goalball. Esta pesquisa se caracteriza por ser um estudo de natureza qualitativa com a tipologia descritiva, de corte transversal. Participaram do estudo oito atletas deGoalball, sendo todos do sexo masculino. O instrumento para a coleta dos dados foi um roteiro de entrevista semiestruturada construído pelo próprio pesquisador.
