As subjetividades surdas no ensino superior: um estudo no campus cidade universitária da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul

    This article, part of a larger research, presents an analysis whose objective is to problematize the formation of deaf subjectivities produced in higher education within the cidade universitária, the name of central campus of the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS). Conducted semi-structured interviews with five deaf academics allocated in three temporal divisions: period of resistance, transition and inclusive. From this allocation, the problematizations were worked in the light of authors such as Michel Foucault, Tom Humphries and Neiva Furlin. It is concluded that the subjectivities of the deaf students interviewed are being conditioned, in different ways, according to the periods in which they are allocated, to a social norm, whether linguistic or auditory, and they end up judging themselves negatively in relation to this norm, the which reveals a tension that sometimes manifests itself in the subject who internalizes this difference and seeks ways to fit the norm, sometimes in the relational, denouncing in(ex)clusion in an attempt to change the social conditions in which they find themselves.

    Este artigo, que é recorte de uma pesquisa maior, apresenta uma análise cujo objetivo é problematizar a formação de subjetividades surdas produzidas no ensino superior no âmbito da cidade universitária, campus central da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS). Foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com cincoacadêmicos surdos alocados em três divisões temporais: período de resistência, de transição e inclusivo. A partir desta alocação, as problematizações foram trabalhadas a luz de autores como Michel Foucault, Tom Humphries e Neiva Furlin. Conclui-se que as subjetividades dos acadêmicos surdos entrevistados estão sendo condicionadas, dediferentes modos, segundo os períodos em que estão alocados, a uma norma social, seja linguística ou auditiva, e terminam por julgarem-se negativamente em relação a esta norma, o que revela uma tensão que, ora se manifesta no próprio sujeito que internaliza esta diferença e procura formas de encaixar-se à norma, ora no relacional, denunciando a in(ex)clusão em uma tentativa de alterar as condições sociais em que se encontram.
