    La competencia judicial internacional en materia de compraventa internacional es una cuestión que puede revestir gran interés, pero también puede presentar dificultades. Es importante determinar el papel que desempeña cada uno de los sujetos intervinientes en la relación contractual, pues en función de qué sea quién se aplicarán unos criterios u otros para atribuir competencia a los tribunales de un Estado o al de otro. Además, el realizar la contratación a través de Internet puede inducir a pensar que el asunto es complejo, pero nada más lejos de la realidad. Las tecnologías avanzan, pero, en muchos casos, los supuestos jurídicos que se plantean son bien conocidos y las normas a aplicar son las usuales.

    International jurisdiction in matters of international sales and purchases is an issue that can be of great interest, but can also present difficulties. It is important to determine the role of each of the parties involved in the contractual relationship, because depending on who is involved, different criteria will be applied to attribute jurisdiction to the courts of one State or another. Furthermore, contracting over the Internet may lead one to think that the matter is complex, but nothing could be further from the truth. Technologies are advancing, but, in many cases, the legal cases that arise are well known and the rules to be applied are the usual ones.
