    Con motivo del ataque de Juan Ferreras a la Tradición pilarista, en su obra Synopsis historica chronologica de España, volvió a surgir la polémica en Aragón y en España sobre dicha Tradición. El monarca Felipe V y la Inquisición acabarán imponiendo silencio sobre dicho asunto. Se trata también la específica espiritualidad pilarista según Juan Pablo II. En el apéndice documental se recogen textos de Ferreras, el Memorial que el Cabildo de Zaragoza envió al Rey y otros documen-tos relativos al tema.

    On the occasion of Juan Ferreras’ attack on the tradition of the coming of the Virgin to Zaragoza, in his work Synopsis historical chronologica de España, controversy arose again in Aragon and in Spain about this Tradition. The monarch Felipe V and the Inquisition will end up imposing silence on this matter. The specific spirituality of Our Lady of the Pillar is also treated according to John Paul II. The documentary appendix contains texts by Ferreras, the Memorial that the Cabildo de Zaragoza sent to the King and other documents related to the subject.
