    En el año 32 a.C. Octaviano leyó en el Senado y en la Asamblea el testamento que Marco Antonio había depositado en el templo de Vesta. El asunto provocó un gran escándalo por la ilegalidad y el sacrilegio cometido por Octaviano para hacerse con el testamento y su contenido impactó de tal manera en Roma que la plebe apoyó la causa de Octaviano. Se analizan las fuentes grecolatinas que se refieren al testamento y las hipótesis sobre la falsificación y alteración del documento por Octaviano. Por último, se hace una revisión del mismo y se concluye que sus partes más escandalosas fueron una manipulación octaviana para atacar la pietas de Marco Antonio.

    In the year 32 BC Octavian read in the Senate and in the Assembly the will that MarkAntony had deposited in the temple of Vesta. The matter caused a great scandal because ofthe illegality and sacrilege committed by Octavian to take over the will and its contents impacted so much on Rome that the plebs supported Octavian's cause. The Greek-Latinsources that collect the contents of the will and the hypotheses about the falsification or al-teration of the document by Octavian are analyzed. Finally, it reviews the content and concludes that its most scandalous parts were an Octavian manipulation to attack MarkAntony´s pietas.
