  • Lucian of Samosata’s corpus includes an indeterminate amount of works of uncertain authorship whose precise number depends on the researcher taken into consideration. Inlight of this situation, this paper carries out an examination of the criteria used by scholars in order to establish the work’s authenticity as well as an analysis of Lucian’s writings’ features to value how appropriate it may be to use Statistics to solve the problem of authorship.
