Estudio del manejo de residuos sólidos en la playa de piedra larga como aporte al desarrollo turístico del cantón manta

    La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo principal realizar un diagnóstico de los desechos sólidos generados en la playa Piedra Larga del cantón de Manta. Se parte del estudio de la trilogía de las unidades académicas, de investigación y vinculación de la carrera de turismo con los gobiernos e instituciones vigentes y las comunidades como ente referente del caso estudio. A partir de la herramienta REDATAM se midieron seis elementos propuesto por el Instituto Nacional de Censo del Ecuador se tienen en cuenta en la eliminación de la basura siendo el más representativo el carro colector que representa en la zona urbana el 98.06% del total del área urbana y el 94.15% está representado por el área rural. Encuesta aplicada a una muestra de pobladores en la zona 23 encuestados que corresponde al 56%, indicó que le interesaría que existiera en el lugar una organización que velara por los intereses del estado de la playa y su conservación. Resulto relevante la pregunta de pedir ayuda estatal reflejó el 12 % mientras que otros manifestaron que la ayuda municipal era muy importante por todo el rol que los mismo juegan en la sociedad alcanzando 41 % de representatividad. Se determina que las unidades de docencia, investigación y vinculación de la carrera de turismo de la Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro, provincia Manabí-Ecuador deben de continuar contribuyendo a mejor el estado de conservación de la playa Piedra Larga.PALABRAS CLAVE: Playa Piedra Larga; Residuo sólido; Desarrollo del turismo.

    STUDY OF THE MANAGEMENT OF SOLID WASTE IN THE BEACH OF PIEDRA LARGA AS CONTRIBUTION TO THE TOURIST DEVELOPMENT OF THE MANTA CANTONABSTRACTThe main objective of the present investigation was to make a diagnosis of the solid waste generated at the Piedra Larga beach in the canton of Manta. It is based on the study of the trilogy of academic units, research and links of the tourism career with governments and institutions in force and communities as a reference entity of the case study. Based on the REDATAM tool, six elements proposed by the National Institute of the Ecuadorian Census were taken into account in the elimination of garbage being the most representative collector car that represents 98.06% of the urban area in the urban area and 94.15% is represented by the rural area. Survey applied to a sample of inhabitants in zone 23 respondents that corresponds to 56%, indicated that he would be interested in the existence of an organization that would look after the interests of the state of the beach and its conservation. The question of requesting state aid reflected the 12% question, while others said that municipal assistance was very important because of the role they play in society, reaching 41% representativeness. It is determined that the teaching, research and linking units of the tourism career of the Laica Eloy Alfaro University, Manabí-Ecuador province should continue to contribute to better the conservation status of the Piedra Larga beach.KEYWORDS: Piedra Larga beach; Solid waste; Tourism development.
