Innovación educativa y pandemia COVID-19: retos ante la nueva normalidad

    La pandemia COVID-19 presenta diversas circunstancias y efectos a nivel social.

    Entre ellos destaca el confinamiento sanitario, el aislamiento, la suspensión de actividades académicas y laborales, así como la pérdida de vidas humanas, modificaciones pedagógicas, tecnológicas, de infraestructuras académicas, entre otros, que configuran una nueva normalidad, una realidad diferente a la que se estilaba. Con motivo de ello, la educación ha tenido que innovar y adecuarse a escenarios poco explorados, al uso de las Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación, a plataformas digitales, a las redes sociales, a modalidades virtuales y, más recientemente, multimodales. Si bien es cierto, esto no es enteramente novedoso dentro de la escena educativa, el distanciamiento social le ha impulsado de una forma sin precedentes. Por esta razón, el artículo explora la dimensión filosófica de la innovación educativa, sus fundamentos teóricos, la interacción con el COVID-19 y las propuestas resultantes para afrontar la nueva normalidad. Se concluye en la urgencia de innovar sin perder de vista la calidad académica, la formación en pensamiento crítico y la reflexión humanista, dando espacio para nuevos actores en el proceso educativo, promoviendo una visión inclusiva, apoyada por el crecimiento de la sociedad digital.

    The COVID-19 pandemic presented diverse circumstances and social effects. Among all of them, the sanitary confinement, the isolation, the suspension of academic and work activities stand out, as well as the loss of human lives, pedagogical, technological, academic infrastructure modifications, among others, which make up a new normality, a reality different from the one that styled Because of this, education has had to innovate and adapt to little explored scenarios, the use of Information and Communication Technologies, digital platforms, social networks, virtual modalities and, more recently, multimodal. While it is true, this is not entirely new within the educational scene, social distancing has propelled it in an unprecedented way. For this reason, the article explores the philosophical dimension of educational innovation, its theoretical foundations, the interaction with COVID-19, and the resulting proposals to face the new normality. It concludes with the urgency of innovating without losing sight of academic quality, training in critical thinking and humanistic reflection, giving space for new actors in the educational process, promoting an inclusive vision, supported by the growth of the digital society.
