Resumen de Factores explicativos de la elección de grados en el área agroalimentaria

  El objetivo de este trabajo es identificar los factores que influyen en la decisión del estudiante al elegir los estudios universitarios que va a cursar. En concreto, el análisis se centra en los grados en el área agroalimentaria como primera o segunda opción en la preinscripción que se realiza previa a la matrícula en la universidad. Para la consecución de este objetivo se ha realizado una encuesta personal a una muestra de 430 estudiantes de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Agronómica, Alimentaria y de Biosistemas de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Los resultados obtenidos mediante la técnica del análisis factorial muestran que los factores que determinan la elección de los grados en el área agroalimentaria son el lugar de residencia, el momento en el que se realiza la elección, el itinerario seguido anteriormente y la motivación personal del estudiante.

  The objective of this paper is to identify the factors that influence the student's decision when choosing their university studies. Specifically, the analysis focuses on the degrees in the agri-food area as the first or second option in the pre-registration that takes place prior to enrollment in the university. In order to achieve this goal, a personal survey was carried out on a sample of 430 students from the School of Agronomic, Food and Biosystems Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Madrid. The results obtained through the technique of factor analysis show that the factors that determine the choice of degrees in the agri-food area are the place of residence, the moment in which the election is made, the studies followed previously and the student's personal motivation.
