  • This contribution will introduce the corpus of Biblical Hebrew and thechallenges for semantic analysis. The major obstacles to research into BH Aktionsart are the limited size of the corpus and the lack of competent speakers. Secondly, the chapter will review previous research and, especially, evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of qualitative and quantitative methods, respectively. Finally, the contribution will recommend points for further research andcollaboration.
