Educar para la Paz desde las habilidades blandas

    Este artículo propone educar para la paz como una manera de entender la educación si queremos deconstruir las violencias, directas, estructurales y culturales que el sistema educativo reproduce como subsistema social. Para ello, será necesaria la capacitación en las habilidades blandas. Estas habilidades ponen el énfasis en el desarrollo de la parte blanda, actitudinal, emocional y moral del ser humano, para obtener un desempeño equilibrado y significativo en todas las facetas de nuestra cotidianidad (Roux, 2019). Así, la educación debe contribuir a la formación integral y, para ello, el currículo escolar debe vincular el conocimiento (saber hacer) y los sentimientos y las emociones (saber ser) de modo que fomenten unas relaciones personales para una buena convivencia y para la participación efectiva en el desarrollo de la sociedad (Marrero, Amar y Xifra, 2018). La capacitación en habilidades blandas nos permitirá afrontar de mejor manera las etapas de crisis, incertidumbre y/o emergencia que se presentan como desafíos en este siglo XXI, tras la pandemia mundial.

    This article proposes educating for peace as a way of understanding education if we want to deconstruct the direct, structural and cultural violence that the educational system reproduces as a social subsystem. For achieving this aim, training in soft skills will be necessary. These skills emphasize the importance of developing the soft part, which means the attitudinal, emotional and moral aspects of the human beings. In this way, a balanced and significant performance in all facets of our daily lives will be acquired (Roux, 2019). Thus, education must contribute to the integral formation and, for this, the school curriculum must link the knowledge (know how to do) and the feelings and emotions (know how to be) in a way that fosters personal relationships that lead to a good coexistence and an effective participation in the development of the society (Marrero, Amar y Xifra, 2018). Training in soft skills will allow us to face the stages of crisis, uncertainty and/or emergency that are presented as challenges in this 21st century, after the global pandemic.
