Resumen de Aprendizaje Basado en Problemas en el aprendizaje significativo de la asignatura de Matemáticas

  Esta investigación se realizó en la Unidad Educativa “Portoviejo # 25” donde se detectó que los estudiantes demostraban falta de motivación y desinterés para aprender, esto se veía reflejado en el aula de clases, por tal razón existen deficiencias en el aprendizaje. El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación fue Implementar el aprendizaje basado en problemas para el desarrollo del aprendizaje significativo en la asignatura de matemáticas, lo cual dio una idea clara de cómo se están dando las clases. Para tal motivo se utilizó una investigación descriptiva con un enfoque mixto, un diseño no experimental de corte transaccional, métodos teóricos, empíricos y estadísticos. Se consideró como población a 570 estudiantes y 21 docentes con carga horaria y como muestra 80 estudiantes de séptimo año básico y 15 docentes de matemáticas, seleccionados a partir de un muestreo no probabilístico. Se utilizó la técnica de encuesta dirigida a los docentes y observación a los estudiantes, de esta manera se diagnosticó la metodología utilizada para la enseñanza. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron el cuestionario de preguntas y guía de observación, por medio del cual se obtiene como principal resultado que los docentes en su mayoría aplican una metodología tradicional, por tanto, están utilizando metodologías desactualizadas y tradicionalistas, se concluye que los docentes de la Unidad Educativa “Portoviejo # 25” poseen pocos conocimientos con respecto a metodologías efectivas para la enseñanza, lo que afecta el aprendizaje de sus estudiantes.

  Problem-Based Learning in meaningful learning in the subject of Mathematics.

  ABSTRACT This research was carried out in the Educational Unit "Portoviejo # 25" where it was detected that the students showed a lack of motivation and disinterest in learning, this was reflected in the classroom, for this reason there are deficiencies in learning. The objective of this research work was to implement problem-based learning for the development of meaningful learning in the subject of mathematics, which gave a clear idea of how classes are being taught. For this reason, a descriptive investigation with a mixed approach, a non-experimental transactional design, theoretical, empirical, and statistical methods was used. The population was 570 students and 21 teachers with workload and as a sample 80 seventh grade students and 15 math teachers, selected from a non-probabilistic sampling. The survey technique aimed at teachers and observation of students was used, in this way the methodology used for teaching was diagnosed. The instruments used were the questionnaire of questions and observation guide, by means of which the main result is obtained that the teachers mostly apply a traditional methodology, therefore they are using outdated and traditional methodologies, it is concluded that the teachers of the Unit Educational "Portoviejo # 25" have little knowledge regarding effective methodologies for teaching, which affects the learning of their students.
