Las TIC y la educación en los tiempos de pandemia

    Las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) han sido el recurso que a nivel mundial los actores de la comunidad educativa a nivel mundial tomaron de primera mano para continuar con el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje durante la pandemia. Esta iniciativa tomada por los países generó cambios importantes en la rutina, la movilidad y la interacción social del individuo. Por otra parte, el aislamiento obligatorio provocado por la COVID-19, puso de manifiesto las fortalezas y debilidades del docente en cuanto a sus competencias digitales, lo cual está inevitablemente vinculado al rendimiento académico de los estudiantes y al logro de los objetivos de aprendizaje que persiguen las instituciones educativas en todos los niveles. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar la incidencia de las TIC en la educación en tiempos de pandemia, con un enfoque en la educación superior. La investigación aplicó los métodos inductivo y deductivo, además de ser de tipo descriptivo y de campo, con un enfoque cuali-cuantitativo. La revisión de la literatura correspondiente y la aplicación de las herramientas de investigación brindaron soporte y validez al estudio, y mostraron las falencias en la preparación docente, así como la falta de recursos tecnológicos en el aula, todo lo cual llevó a concluir que la aplicación de las TIC en el aula tiene una importante incidencia en la educación superior.

    Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have been the main resource that the actors of the educational community worldwide took first-hand to continue with the teaching and learning process during the pandemic. This initiative taken by the countries generated important changes in the routine, mobility, and social interaction of people. On the other hand, the mandatory isolation caused by COVID-19, revealed the strengths and weaknesses of the teacher in terms of their digital skills, which is inevitably linked to the academic performance of students and the achievement of the learning objectives that educational institutions at all levels pursue. This article aims to analyze the incidence of ICT in education in times of pandemic, with a focus on higher education. The research applied the inductive and deductive methods, in addition to being descriptive and field type, with a qualitative-quantitative approach. The review of the corresponding literature related to the research variables and the application of the research tools provided support and validity to the study, and showed the shortcomings in teacher preparation, as well as the lack of technological resources in the classroom, all of which led to the conclusion that the application of ICT in the classroom has an important impact on higher education.
