Resumen de Metodología docente basada en la pizarra virtual: Evaluación de la presencialidad en el espacio europeo de educación superior

  El proceso de convergencia al Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior (EEES) implica modificar el tradicional método de enseñanza universitario centrado en el profesor por el aprendizaje autónomo del alumno. Para ello la transmisión de conocimientos en el aula ha de ceder una parte importante de su protagonismo a otras técnicas de enseñanza que permitan al alumno recibir información del profesor sin necesidad de presencialidad. En este sentido, las nuevas tecnologías son una herramienta primordial para desarrollar metodologías de enseñanza-aprendizaje alternativas a las tradicionales. El objetivo del estudio es transmitir la experiencia resultante de la aplicación de una nueva tecnología a la docencia universitaria. Nuestra propuesta de innovación docente es proporcionar al estudiante un material audiovisual online para facilitar su aprendizaje autónomo, de tal modo que pueda seguir una clase presencial sin encontrarse en el aula donde se imparte. La metodología aplicada, denominada pencasting, es una técnica que simula la visión de la pizarra con la explicación detallada y simultánea en audio del profesor. Esta tecnología se puede ubicar entre el streaming de video o diapositivas y el podcasting, reuniendo lo óptimo de ambos métodos y enfocado a que el alumno siga la docencia habitual de una clase a través de una pizarra virtual.

En mayo de 1998 The spanish university joining to the European Higher Education Area involves the modification ofthe university educational model, centering on the student's independent learning more than on the teacher educationstyle. The transmission of knowledge in the classroom must cede substantial parts of their purpose to other teachingtechniques that allow the student to receive the information and allows immediate communication in real time betweenteacher and student. In this sense, the use of information technology for training future professionals to be incorporatedto businesses, is a primary tool for developing teaching-learning methodologies alternatively to the traditional models.The target of our study is to convey the experience gained in the implementation of new technology to teach in businessstudies. Our innovative educational proposal is to provide the student an online audiovisual material to facilitate theresolution of the practices in the areas of Financial Economics and Accounting, so that students can follow exactly onelecture without being in the classroom. The new methodology we have apply, called pencasting, is a technique thatsimulates vision of the blackboard with detailed explanation and audio simultaneous of the teacher. This newtechnology would be in the half way between the slides and video streaming or podcasting, bringing together the best ofboth methods allowing the students to follow a normal teaching lesson through the virtual whiteboard.
