  • Resumen
    • This work is developed as a cooperation between EGICAD-UC and Auto Drive Systems Company, which owns a positioning model named RPS (Radar Positioning System). The prototype consists of a small radar sensor, which is able to return the position of a mobile element with centimetre precision, and a graphic interface to show that information. The objective of this communication is to show the improvements carried out in the graphic representation of mobile elements when the railroad network is in operation. Each one of these units has an independent velocity diagram, which will be supplied in real time from its sensor. The system is being tested on several simulated trials in different lines of Metro Madrid underground. Initially, the velocity diagram is simulated in order to compare a theoretical position with the real one, which is related to the data flow sent by the sensor.
