  • Resumen
    • The problem of heating a non-homogeneous thermoelastic layer induced by absorbing a penetrating laser radiation throughout its volume is solved by employing the dual-phase-lag theory of thermoelasticity. The surfaces of the layer are taken insulated and traction free. Using the Laplace integral transform technique, a solution to the considered problem is obtained.

      The results presented graphically for the distributions of the upper surface temperature, temperature, displacement, and normal stress.
