The map that associates to each nonnegative integer the subset of its divisors that are primary numbers (rime powers) is considered. in thes way, the relation "to e a divisor of " between natural numbers tranlates into the inclusion of their respective subsets of primary divisors. moreover, the numerical operations gcd and lcm translate into the set operations, intersection and union. This leads to justifying teh calculation of the gcd and lcm in a more intuitive way and also to prove the properties of these numeric opartions by means of a lattice isomorphism
