VIII i Metaph. In the second book of the Physics Aristotle seems to establish that the ordering of beings to their end has nature as its only intrinsic cause; however, careful study of this question in light of the doctrine of the Unmoved Prime Mover in Phys. VIII and Metaph. Λ 6, 7 and 10, could suggest the existence of a dual foundation, one immanent (nature) and another transcendent (PMI). My work will consist of trying to give an answer to this question, synthesized in Metaph. Λ 7, 1072b 13-14 “on such a Principle, heaven and nature depend”, from a metaphysical analysis of both types of texts.
