    El presente trabajo centra su atención en un poema donde César Vallejo y Rubén Darío se unen. Vallejo realiza una renovación poética que rompe con las normas gramaticales y muestra un alma moderna liberándose de la normativa clásica. Es en esta fase cuando escribe el poema “Simbolista” que tiene un acercamiento hacia el simbolismo, y que es presentado posteriormente en Los heraldos negros con el título de “Retablo”. A través de un análisis com-parativo entre las dos versiones se descubre la devoción profunda que guarda Vallejo hacia Darío; para lograr verificar esta unidad se alude a palabras y versos que la determinan. Final-mente se corrobora esta tesis con la opinión de Gutiérrez Girardot quien sostiene que el poema “Retablo” tiene una imagen shamánica que conjura el espíritu de Darío.

    The present work focuses its attention on a poem where César Vallejo and Rubén Darío are united. Vallejo carries out a poetic renovation that breaks with grammar rules and shows a modern soul breaking himself free from the classic rule. It is at this stage when he writes the poem “Symbolista” (Symbolist) that shows a rapprochement towards symbolism, and is presented later in Los Heraldos Negros (Black Heralds) with the title of “Retablo” (Al-tarpiece). Through a comparative analysis between the two versions, one discovers the deep devotion that Vallejo kept to Darío and to verify this unity words and verses that determine it are referred to. Finally, this thesis is corroborated by Gutiérrez Girardot’s opinion who claims that the poem “Retablo” has a shamanic image that conjures Darío’s soul.
