    César Vallejo es uno de los poetas peruanos más reconocidos en todo el mundo debido a la impresionante innovación que su obra supuso para la poesía del siglo XX. Lee Kuei-shien lo introdujo a los lectores taiwaneses, siendo el primer poeta en traducir los poemas de Vallejo al chino mandarín. De este modo, y gracias a que la poesía tiene vasos comunicantes con todo el mundo, Taiwán y Perú quedan conectados; uniendo Latinoamérica y Asia Oriental. A través de la poesía, los escritores César Vallejo y Lee Kuei-shien revelan el valor del ser humano y el alma del pueblo. Dada la importancia de estos aspectos, en el presente trabajo analizamos e interpretamos las principales ideas implicadas en la obra poética de ambos autores, centrándonos en la línea de lo local y lo social de sus poemas. Observamos además que los dos persiguen convertir la palabra en una fuerza real capaz de influir en los destinos de la sufrida humanidad.

    César Vallejo is one of the most recognized Peruvian poets in the world due to the impressi­ve innovation that his work entailed for the poetry of the twentieth century. Lee Kuei-shien introduced him to Taiwanese readers, being the first poet who translates Vallejo’s poems into Chinese Mandarin. In this way, and thanks to the fact that poetry has communicating vessels with the whole world, Taiwan and Perú are connected and are uniting Latin America and East Asia. Through poetry, the writers César Vallejo and Lee Kuei-shien reveal the va­lue of the human being and the soul of their people. Given the importance of these aspects, in the present work we analyze and interpret the main ideas involved in the poetic work of both authors, focusing on the local and the social aspects of their poems. We also observed that the two poets seek to turn the word into a real capable force of influencing the destinies of the suffering humanity.
