• The objective of this work is to highlight, in polemic texts, the features that reveal its reporting nature, analysing some temporal properties of sequences that report the speech of the other. In this analysis, we study a corpus that includes texts of a polemic of Camilo Castelo Branco from the ending of the XIX century.
