Resumen de Retour sur la préposition espagnole "por" et ses homologues de plusieurs langues romanes
In this essay, the Spanish preposition "por" is studied by way of its basic scmantic value, i.e. its systemic or virtual "signified" (“signifié de langue”) in order to effectuate a re-ordering of all significant discursive uses. We shall treat the case of grammatical polysememia in this perspective. As for the homologues of "por" in other romance languages, we will try to suggest a tentative appraisal of the absence of opposition between causative and final values.
