    El objetivo del presente artículo es analizar el proceso de redacción de la Constitución de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires a partir del concepto de laicidad. Para ello, se examinan los Diarios de Sesiones de la Convención Constituyente, documentos de la Conferencia Episcopal y prensa nacional. En primer lugar, se define el concepto de laicidad y su utilidad para el campo de estudios sobre la religión en el caso argentino. Luego, en segundo lugar, repasamos la posición de la Iglesia frente a la reforma de la Constitución Nacional en 1994, el antecedente inmediato de la Constitución de la Ciudad. En tercer lugar, el artículo se detiene en dos temas, por un lado, la salud y la igualdad de género y, por el otro, la invocación de Dios en el preámbulo.

    The aim of this paper is to analyze the drafting process of the Constitution of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires from the concept of laicism. For this purpose, the Journals of Sessions of the Constituent Convention, documents of the Episcopal Conference and the national press are examined. First, we define the concept of laicism and its usefulness for the field of religious studies in the Argentine case. Then, secondly, we review the position of the Church regarding the reform of the National Constitution in 1994, the immediate antecedent of the Constitution of the City of Buenos Aires. Thirdly, we focus on two issues, on the one hand, health and gender equality and, on the other hand, the invocation of God in the preamble.
