Resumen de Eutanasia frente a la dignidad constitucional

La aprobación de la reciente ley de eutanasia en España ha levantado ampollas en la comunidad médica y la comunidad científica por cuanto se ha tramitado la ley sin contar con la opinión de los facultativos. Este artículo intenta aclarar conceptos confusos como el de dignidad o eutanasia que se manejan sin precisión en los medios de comunicación; también recoge los argumentos a favor de la eutanasia y los rebate con argumentos jurídicos, llegando a la conclusión de que deberíamos apoyar una ley de cuidados paliativos que garantizara una muerte digna con atención integral al enfermo y la familia, protegiendo la dignidad constitucional de todos los ciudadanos sin distinción por razón de su edad, renta o salud

The approval of the recent euthanasia law in Spain has raised blisters in the medical community and the scientific community because the law has been processed without the opinion of the doctors. This article attempts to clarify confusing concepts such as dignity or euthanasia that are handled without precision in the media;
it also collects the arguments in favor of euthanasia and refutes them with legal arguments, reaching the conclusion that we should support a palliative care law that would guarantee a dignified death with comprehensive care for the sick and the family, protecting the constitutional dignity of all citizens without distinction because of their age, income or health.
