Resumen de Fiebre no infecciosa en paciente con tuberculosis

La fiebre por tuberculostáticos supone una entidad que puede complicar la evolución en pacientes con tuberculosis activa. Dicha situación puede derivar en la adopción de actitudes diagnóstico-terapéuticas que perjudiquen al paciente, por lo que es una entidad a considerar cuando persiste o reaparece la fiebre en pacientes con cumplimiento terapéutico confirmado y no exista sospecha de resistencia a los fármacos antituberculosos. Se presenta el caso de una paciente diagnosticada de tuberculosis pulmonar que presentó un cuadro de fiebre asociada a los agentes antituberculosos a las 2 semanas de iniciar el tratamiento, donde la sospecha clínica fue fundamental para realizar el diagnóstico.

Fever associated to antitubercular agents is an entity which can complicate the evolution in patients with active tuberculosis. This situation can carry the adoption of diagnostic and therapeutic attitudes which harm the patient, so it has to be thought about when fever persists or reappears in patients who meet the treatment and there are not suspicions of resistance to antitubercular agents. We introduce the case of a patient diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis who presented an episode of fever associated to antitubercular agents two weeks after starting the treatment, where clinical suspect was the key to make the diagnosis.
